On this Bank Holiday Monday, little ones can enjoy a fabulous arts session with Marianne from the renowned Boom Studios, based in Bangor, WWT Castle Espie Wetland Centre in Comber.

Marianne will take them through a fun and creative "Wee Birds" art session, finding inspiration from the nature of the surrounding wetlands.

Afterwards, families are welcome to explore the reserve - a sanctuary for wildlife and the perfect haven for little ones to 'go adventuring', which includes the duckery, the wildwood play area and the new play tower!

Entry to the reserve for the child is included in the ticket price. Any accompanying adults and additional children pay normal Castle Espie entrance prices.

Their "Wee birds" will make for a lovely souvenir from what is sure to be a fantastic day out.


Things to note
Meet at the Graffan Room, Castle Espie.  Just behind the cafe.
The experience is aimed at primary school aged children
Entry to the reserve for the child taking part in the experience is included in the ticket price.  Any accompanying adults and additional children pay normal Castle Espie entrance prices.

By Car:
From Belfast follow the A20 along the Upper Newtownards Road. Turn Right onto the Comber Road and continue along the A22. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Killinchy Road A22. Turn left onto Ballydrain Road.  Continue along the Ballydrain Road.  Look for Castle Espie Signs, destination on the left at 78 Ballydrain Rd, Comber, Newtownards BT23 6EA. Car parking on site.
