This is a place with a famed agricultural and nautical heritage which is home to world class ingredients. Comber Earlies PGI status potatoes, Portavogie prawns, Strangford Lough oysters and County Down grass fed beef are just a few examples of the fine produce that is unique to this place.
Ours is a place to meet the locals and savour great flavours
Weekly markets are a tradition of this place, and a fixture in Newtownards and Bangor for almost a century. They showcase Strangford Lough seafood, local vegetables, plants, homewares and traditional breads that are baked as you wait. Each month at Comber Farmers’ Market and Portaferry village market you can sample the wares and learn from artisan producers some tricks of their trade.
Ours is homemade hospitality and joy
