Shorelife Celebration: Brent Geese and Wintering birds guided walk

About

Part of Shorelife Celebration

Join Kerry Mackie for a short walk across the causeway to Rough Island on Strangford Lough to enjoy the Brent Geese feeding along the shoreline following their recent arrival after their long migration.

Kerry will share his knowledge of our light-bellied, feathery friends from the East Canadian High Arctic and other wintering birds who come to Strangford Lough each year to feed and refuel in this precious environment.

We will start and finish in the car park, with a free hot drink and biscuits to wrap up.
Dress warmly and bring rain gear. Event will go ahead unless there is a red weather warning.
Children can join this group walk with adult supervision.
