About

All ages are welcome to join this creative and inspiring event to explore our shores.

At 10am the group will be led by Anne-Marie on a gentle walk to explore the shore and collect objects to make an artistic assembly or perhaps a quick print. All materials will be provided. If you would like to sketch, please bring the paper/pencils/pens you want to use.

This event is a great opportunity to relax, unwind, and connect with your inner artist. Don't miss out on this unique experience! See you there on Saturday 5 April, 10am at Cloughey Bowling Green & Pavillion.

Refreshments will be available at the Pavillion, please bring a reusable cup if you'd like a hot cuppa.

This event is part of a series of walking & crafting events Ards and North Down Council are delivering with Beat Carnival, as part of an exciting Uk-wide programme and festival, Beach of Dreams.

Our Siren Song is Beat Carnival's Beach of Dreams project in Northern Ireland. It offers creative programmes on the Ards Peninsula coast that engage local artists and communities in meaningful activities to highlight the beauty, heritage and ecology of our coastline.

The project will culminate with a community arts event at Millisle Beach on 17th May 2025 during the UK Beach of Dreams Festival. Our siren will call people to the coast: her song will be a love song for our sea and shore, and a call to action, to preserve this precious resource for future generations.
