Inclusive Walks - Cairnwood Forest

Come and join us for an inclusive walk in partnership with Ards and North Down Borough Council, Mountaineering Ireland and The Outdoor Partnership NI.

The aim of this event is to make the outdoors inclusive for all so trained instructors will be on hand to provide any necessary support/ guidance where required.

The walk will be suitable for individuals (aged 18+) with disabilities, limited mobility and additional needs. The walk will explore the various trails around the forest.

Meeting point is at Cairn Wood Forest Car Park, Craigantlet Road, Newtownards BT23

Route information:

This session will start at the Cairn Wood Car Park and offer participants the chance to explore the beautiful sights and sounds of the Forest. The walk will be a 1 mile circular route around the Forest. The paths are gravel and will be hilly and uneven in parts so would not be suitable for a manual wheelchair (may be suitable for a motorised chair).

Carers will be welcome to partake in the walks.
