About

Discover more about the Ulster-Scots in Ards and North Down, from their arrival in the early years of the 17th century, to the place names and surnames we know so well, through this exhibition in the Discovery Hub. Pick up some free literature to learn more or to share with family and friends who may have left this shore but still have roots here!

On Saturday 23 November from 2pm and 4pm join local tour guide of Hidden Ulster Tours, Lolly Spence for a drop in poetry workshop looking at the Ulster-Scots language through old and new poems, the words and their meanings. Have a go at writing a limerick, haiku or short verse of your own using our local Ulster Scots words.
