Main Street, Conlig, County Down, BT23 7PT
Conlig Presbyterian Church EHOD 2024

About

Conlig is a B1 listed stone church opened in 1848 largely due to the generosity of John Sinclair, in whose memory Sinclair Seamans church was built, and William Pirrie, grandfather of Viscount Pirrie, former Chairman of Harland & Wolff shipbuilders and Lord Mayor of Belfast.

Architecturally it retains most of its original box pews and pulpit.

The organ and 8 stained glass windows were originally installed in Elmwood Presbyterian Church, Belfast.

The exhibition and displays will tell the story of the church and its place within the wider community.

Included in the history of the church will be information on John Sinclair and William Perrie. Also surrounding area such as Little Clandeboye and Helen's Tower. Everyone welcome!

Sat 12.30pm-4pm | Sun 1pm-3pm.

Refreshments will be available.
