Comber and District Horticultural Society Annual Show 2024

Comber First Presbyterian Church Halls, High St., Comber, County Down, BT23 5AP
Comber Horticultural Show 2024

About

The Comber and District Horticultural Society's annual show will be held on Saturday 14th September in the Comber First Presbyterian Church Halls. All are warmly welcome to participate or to just come and enjoy the many amazing entries in classes for fruit and vegetables, flowers of all sorts, floral art, honey and other bee products, home baking, preserves, and handicrafts. We offer special entry classes just for children and young people. Experienced judges will award three prizes in each class and cup winners will be recognised at the award ceremony at the end of the show at 4pm. We welcome everybody, whether novice or experienced. This is a show for the community, and for fun, though that is not to say that competition is not sometimes fierce! Please take the plunge and enter your homegrown produce and homemade treasures. Bring your entries (fee of £1 each) to the Church Hall either on Friday the 13th between 7-9 pm or Saturday the 14th between 8 and 11 am. In addition to the exhibits, at 1:30 pm on the day we offer a delicious afternoon tea with homebaked goods provided by the Society's members (price £4/2 for adults/children) and sales tables for plants, books and bakes. Please contact us directly at comberhortsoc@gmail.com or refer to the Comber Horticultural Society facebook page for more information and for a show schedule which contains the entry form. Schedules and posters are also available at many businesses in the area. We look forward to a great day at one of the oldest traditional horticultural shows in Northern Ireland!
