Border Fairies

Studio 1A, 1A Hamilton Road, Bangor, Down, BT20 4JP
A young Richard O'Leary in 1970 standing amongst debris, edited to have pink fairy wings and a pink eye mask.

About

Excavating his own fascinating stories that shine a light on the troubled relationship between The Fairies and The State, master storyteller Richard O'Leary brings 'Border Fairies', a poignant and powerful one-man stage show that weaves his trademark storytelling theatre with hidden Irish histories. Using surviving love letters, personal photos, unofficial papers and fascinating ephemera, this intimate, revealing and funny show reminds us that 'The Official Version' never gives the whole story!

Produced by Outburst Arts and originally commissioned in 2021 through the Shared History Fund.
