About

Orlock Farm Sundays at The Orlock

Join us for an exclusive on farm event. Enjoy a farm walk and relaxed wild dining experience at The Orlock, home to Ballyboley Dexters. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Irish Sea and looking out to the Copeland Islands and the coast of Scotland, Orlock Farm Sundays offer the perfect opportunity to connect with nature, learn where good food comes from, learn about regenerative farming and enjoy exceptional food in a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere.

Your afternoon begins with a guided farm walk where you'll meet our cows, Pedigree Dexter Cattle and a handful of Pedigree Black Galloway and Pedigree Belted Galloway Cattle. As the only certified Pasture For Life Farm in Northern Ireland and Ireland you'll hear why this certification is so important and how this way of farming helps nature along its way improving biodiversity on the farm and surrounding areas whilst producing some of the best beef Northern Ireland has to offer. We'll talk about our hives of Native Black Irish Bees and the important role they play as pollinators on our farm. Importantly you'll see first hand how we produce our multi award winning Pedigree Dexter beef, from pasture to plate!

After the walk, settle in and enjoy a a wild dining experience with your fellow foodies. This casual two-course meal is cooked over our Trailblazer charcoal BBQ. Each event features a different menu, with a main course showcasing our Pasture For Life Dexter beef and a homemade dessert, all made with some of the finest local and seasonal ingredients.

This is a relaxed and welcoming event, perfect for couples, groups of friends and families alike. Whether you're looking for a unique foodie experience with friends or a laid-back afternoon with loved ones, you'll enjoy great company, delicious food and stunning views.

We will provide refreshing cordials for all guests, and you're welcome to bring along your own hot drinks or even a little tipple to enjoy in the great outdoors.

A children's ticket is available for those under 12 years of age, this features a Ballyboley Dexter Steak Hot Dog made with our award-winning Steak Sausages, served in a Pattons floury bap and a dessert of Glastry Farm Ice Cream. If your child is a more adventurous eater and would like to enjoy the full wild dining experience, simply purchase a 'Child <12y Wild Dining Full' ticket.
