Join us at the Ulster Folk Museum as we celebrate the harvest season with an evening of seasonal food and storytelling. The event will begin with a tour of our working farm and kitchen gardens.

You’ll then retreat to the cosy (and licensed!) pub to hear some stories and folklore while enjoying a delicious harvest menu created by Nina and Therese from Lightfoot Kitchen and Deli with delicious food made using produce from local growers and the museum’s kitchen gardens. These mouth-watering treats will be paired with storytelling and folklore for a truly immersive and beautiful experience.

Please ensure that you check with all members of your party regarding food allergies, intolerances, and dietary requirements prior to booking tickets.
Please inform the host venue about food allergies, intolerances and specific dietary requirements at least 72 hours in advance.

Getting there
We encourage visitors to use pubic transport if possible but parking is available. Please see https://www.ulsterfolkmuseum.org/how-find-us for further information.

By Car: From Belfast follow the A2 towards City Airport/Bangor/Holywood.  Continue along the Belfast Road A2.  Continue along the Holywood bypass A2 to Cultra, brown signs are visible for the Ulster Folk Museum. Parking is available at the Ulster Folk Museum, Cultra.

By Bus or Rail: Closest rail station is Cultra. See Translink for timetables. The Museum is approximately 10-15 minute walk over the bridge and up a slight incline to the main attraction.
                                                                  

Accessibility
Guests should be aware that there will be approximately one hour of walking at a slow gentle pace in the rural area of the museum site including some gradients and uneven paths.
Ulster Folk Museum has many historic buildings which aren’t completely accessible to visitors. Due to the historic nature of their design, you’ll find uneven surfaces and stepped access to some of the older buildings and there is a variety of ground surfaces and hills around the rural parts of the museum, to be expected with it being an outdoor museum. The UFM team will be there to provide assistance and guidance to anyone who needs it and mobility scooters or all-terrain wheelchairs can be booked in advance by emailing info@nationalmuseumsni.org or calling +44 (0)28 9039 5292.

Carers                 
Carers are welcome, however tickets must be purchased if they wish to participate.
Where practicable providers within the Experience AND Programme will aim to accommodate carers and be as inclusive as possible. With such a diverse range of activities, operated by a number of providers, it is necessary for this to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
