Discovery Hub: What the SeaSaw

Ards Visitor Information Centre, 31 Regent Street, Newtownards, County Down, BT23 4AD
Blue and white pottery from beach

About

It is only in recent years that we began to appreciate the impact of our detritus on the seas. This exhibition is intriguing and educational, providing clarity on some of our behaviours and simple changes we can all make to help protect marine life. To connect, is indeed to protect.

Suitable and accessible for all ages.

What the Sea Saw is beachcomber, beach-cleaner and incidental artist, Aileen McClenaghan. Aileen has campaign experience with CPWF (formerly Sea Shepherd). She is a marine-life medic with British Divers Marine Life Rescue and a RNLI volunteer at her local lifeboat station. Aileen delivers workshops for schools and community groups and has produced articles for government departments, local news and environmental NGOs.
