Step  back in time to the 1940s with “Deadly Tales of Bangor,” an immersive murder mystery night where you become the detective! Hosted at The Old Market House, a stunning heritage building which dates from 1780, this thrilling event invites you to solve a captivating mystery set against the intriguing context of wartime Bangor. Inspired by notable wartime figures, the evening blends storytelling, local history, and interactive entertainment. Enjoy a charcuterie board curated by The Guillemot Café as you piece together clues. Celebrate Bangor’s rich heritage in a night of suspense, strategy, and great food. Can you crack the case?

You will be taken through an immersive journey in Wartime Bangor with entertainment  along with a charcuterie board from The Guillemot Café .


Things to note
This experience is only suitable for those 18 years and over.
Guests are encouraged to wear 1940s style attire, but this is NOT essential. 
Guests are not permitted to bring alcohol to the event.  
Attendees will be the detectives in the Murder Mystery, rather than participating in the murder mystery

Getting there

By car: from Belfast follow A2 to Bangor Town Centre.
On street parking available - free after 6pm
Closest car park is Bingham Street carpark, behind the premises.

Car parking | Ards and North Down Borough Council

By public transport: Train or bus to Bangor Station. From station walk straight/turn left heading down Main Street (past The Ava Bar and the Post Office) for 5-10 minute's walk along flat terrain. The Old Market House is located on the corner after the traffic lights beside Boots, to the right of Main Street. See Translink for timetables.
