Why not join us to create a unique May Flower box at this newly built studio at the School Garden? Located at the Schoolmaster’s House, a period country home near the historic Ballycopeland Windmill, The School Garden is steeped in history. Your host Janice will expertly guide you on a 30 minute walk iforaging n this beautiful rural location, and in sustainable floristry techniques as you work with a mixture of locally grown flowers and foraged ingredients. You will arrange your flowers inside a lovely handmade wooden box which can be repurposed afterwards. Refreshments and School Cake will be served on arrival and a sumptuous Ploughman’s Lunch will be provided on a hedgerow styled table.

Tea, coffee and refreshments will be provided on arrival.

No experience is required, full tuition and help given throughout
It is recommended that you wear suitable walking shoes as a half hour foraged walk will be included as part of this experience.
Suitable outdoor clothing may be required if the weather is not favourable.
This experience is suitable for those 18 years and over.

It is the responsibility of the ticketholder to inform a member of staff at the host venue about food allergies, intolerances and specific dietary requirements. Getting there

By car: From Belfast / Newtownards take 3rd exit at roundabout up the  Donaghadee Rd/A48. Then turn right onto Movilla Rd/B172. After approx. 4 miles continue straight through 4 road ends onto Killaughey Road. After approx. 2 miles turn right onto Windmill Road and destination will be on the right. Parking on site.

By public transport: From Belfast/Newtownards/ Ballywalter Ulsterbus Service no 7/7B. See Translink for timetables.

Carers are welcome, however tickets must be purchased if they wish to participate.
Where practicable providers within the Experience AND Programme will aim to accommodate carers and be as inclusive as possible. With such a diverse range of activities, operated by a number of providers, it is necessary for this to be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
