About

Come and discover the history and heritage of the village through a weekend of various activities and events.

The weekend will start with a talk on the Friday evening, in the Walter Nelson Hall where Andrew Sneddon, from Ulster University, and Stephen Scarth, from the Public Record Office, will present; "Groomsport in the archives – putting the voyage of the Eagle Wing in context".

Other events include - a breakfast, boat trip, guided walking tour, Scottish Dancing, living history, concert and more! Plan to come along and join the Celebration.

There will also be four ticketed events, bookable in advance.

These are:
Saturday morning: Seafarers' Breakfast at the Parish Halls (£5 per ticket)
Saturday evening: Celebration Concert (£10, includes refreshments at the interval).
Saturday and Sunday at 12.30pm: Boat Trips on Brian Meharg's Ocean Wave with music and stories. (£20).


Tickets for all four events will go on sale at Cockle Row Cottages on Thursday 1st August at 11am.
