Kerrie who is better known as Mrs Maker is art was born and raised in Bangor. Kerrie graduated from The University of Ulster with a degree in Fine Art. “When I am not out and about saving the world through my belief in the healing power of art you will find me in my my studio, a converted horse’s stable on the High Bangor Road. Surrounded by countryside, horse in the yard, buttercup fields and views of the Copelands. Visitors of any age (even four legged friends) delight in my love of art and the wonderland they experience at my workshops.
I take inspiration from nature in my personal practice using mixed media to highlight the importance of mindfulness, biodiversity and sustainability all mixed up with memories of my childhood realms and imagination.
"Becoming a Sustainable Giant is a journey I am very passionate about. Every small step we take together towards being kinder to our Earth can make a big difference. Painting a greener future together through Mrs Maker is Art is for me a giant part of the colourful patchwork of a more sustainable future", Kerrie, Mrs Maker
