Ards and North Down producers accredited under the Great Taste 2024 scheme
1st August 2024
The cream of the crop has been revealed by the world’s most trusted food and drink accreditation scheme.
On 30 July 2024, the Guild of Fine Food has released the results for Great Taste 2024. Products made in Northern Ireland have won a total of 164 awards.
We are absolutely delighted that several Ards and North Down based producers were accredited under the Great Taste 2024 scheme.
Great Taste is the largest and most trusted food & drink accreditation scheme. It supports and promotes food and drink producers, large and small, giving buyers and food lovers in the UK and overseas reliable recommendations for great tasting food. The judges look for truly great taste, regardless of branding or packaging. They take into account texture, appearance and of course the quality of the ingredients; they will note a good aroma, a decent bite, or a particularly smooth or crunchy texture.
Award winners in Ards and North Down include Ballyboley Dexters Orlock Honey, Ballyboley Dexters 28 Day Dry Aged on the Bone Sirloin Steak, Clandeboye Estate Greek Style Yoghurt, Clandeboye Estate Honey Greek Style Yoghurt, Glastry Farm Mango and Passionfruit Sorbet, Glastry Farm Raspberry Ruffle Sorbet, Mash Direct Mashed Potato, Mash Direct Carrot & Parsnip, Moorcroft Foods Cooper's Original Biltong, Moorcroft Foods Coopers Chilli Biltong, Moorcroft Foods Fenner's Garlic AIr-Dried Steak Biltong, Moorcroft Foods Fenner's Original AIr-Dried Steak Biltong, Bró38 De Bró Espresso and Capparelli Cooks Slow Dried Organic Einkorn Pasta.
