Bangor Castle Walled Garden Heats Up with Chilli Festival!
7th September 2023
Bangor Castle Walled Garden will be heating up on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September with food demonstrations, family fun and live music at the Chilli Festival!
There will be a wonderful array of colour with all shapes and sizes of chillis on display as the two-day festival showcases many different varieties of chilli plants from around the world, all grown locally in Ards and North Down.
Open from 12noon until 4pm, two packed fun-filled days for all the family are guaranteed! Come along on Saturday and enjoy food demonstrations with a chilli kick, live music and dancing, children's entertainment and the chilli plant display.
Ards CCE and Irish Dancing from the Reilly School will provide traditional music, while South Asian Dance Academy and Brazilian Singers will entertain with a host of colour, movement and sound.
A select number of local vendors will be on site providing food demonstrations during the afternoon. Join us and hear how some of our local restaurants and producers prepare some spicy menus, and maybe buy some spicy wares.
On Sunday the fun continues with stilt walkers, face painters, balloon modellers, and plant and play workshops that will keep the kids entertained plus there will be live music too.
The Chilli Festival is running as part of a series of Taste Autumn foodie events. For more information, including ticket bookings, go to Taste Autumn in Ards and North Down.
