During December you can help two great causes, firstly WWT Castle Espie, conservation charity for wetlands and wildlife, and North Down Home Start.

Celebrate the gift of giving this Christmas with a fun, festive experience at the WWT Castle Espie Elf Academy, first stop at Elf Academy is to drop off your donated gift to our elves, for children who would otherwise receive nothing on Christmas day.

Then, it’s time for some Christmas craft creativity before getting cosy in the crannog roundhouse for a story from Papa Elf himself! Enjoy toasting marshmallows round the fire and finally, go exploring round our reserve to find all the ‘reindeer’.
