Tracey's Farmhouse Kitchen has Sustainability at the Heart of her Business
6th December 2023
Sustainability is at the heart of Tracey’s Farmhouse Kitchen, a traditional breadmaking and food tour business on the shores of Strangford Lough near Whiterock.
Tracey is an #ANDSustainableGiant and welcomes many to her home a 17th century cottage, for traditional baking and wonderful immersive experiences, she explains, “At Tracey’s Farmhouse Kitchen, there is no waste! The hens and ducks will feed on the scraps from her busy kitchen. This also helps us to save money as we don’t have to buy chicken food which in turn leads to less packaging waste.
In return our Hens lay delicious organic eggs as they roam freely through the Farmyard and into the fields.
Any Soda Farls that are left after our visitors leave is delivered to our Neighbours many of whom are elderly and not very mobile. They are always grateful for some homemade Soda and Wheaten breads.”
