About

Loaf Pottery and Coffee Shop is located on the Main Street in Crawfordsburn.

We are part of NOW Group, a social enterprise that supports people with learning difficulties and autism into jobs with a future. NOW Group secured funding from Ards and North Down Borough Council, Ulster Garden Villages, the Coastal Communities Fund and George Best Belfast City Airport to renovate the space, formally Pinewood Pottery, after being contacted by local residents who were keen to see the pottery restored and open to the community again. Loaf Pottery opened to the public in May 2018.

Loaf Pottery has an arts centre to the front of the building and a cafe to the rear. In our arts centre and pottery we offer a range of classes and activities for the local community and visitors to get involved in, these include one day pottery classes, pottery and crafts courses, drop in paint me, glaze me sessions, and pizza and pottery nights. Our classes cater to a range of age ranges and abilities and there is something for everyone to get involved in.

In our cafe we believe in buying social and buying local, so we have worked along with local suppliers to create a menu full of the best produce that the region has to offer. We have an outdoor seating area and a wood fired pizza oven where we make our own dough in house and open late on a Friday night for our pop-up pizza evening where you can call down for a pizza and bring your own wine as well. We also have a great selection of sweet treats and coffee on offer.
