About

The Old Vicarage NI is a newly established family run B & B business located on the east coast of The Ards Peninsula, Northern Ireland and is set on the fringe of the quaint old fishing village of Ballywalter.
The Old Vicarage NI is a large detached Edwardian dwelling built in 1910 with a Grade B2 listing. Over the past 4 years it has been lovingly restored to provide luxurious superior accommodation in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Each of the rooms presently on offer provide spectacular unrestricted views over the Irish Sea towards The Isle of Man and Scotland. The property has retained all of the original Edwardian style features and has been tastefully decorated and furnished to match. It displays all the true opulent grandeur of the Edwardian era.
The Old Vicarage NI is ideally situated for exploring any part of Northern Ireland – from the Glens of Antrim to the Mountains of Mourne. Locally there is the historic village of Greyabbey, the Mount Stewart and Castle Ward Estates (National Trust), Explores Aquarium, the Titanic Experience and Game of Thrones and many more attractions.
Being a great seaside location we are the perfect residential venue for wedding or conference guests attending such functions in the area.
The Old Vicarage NI B&B presently offers a choice of two luxurious large sea view bedroom with en-suite shower/bathrooms located on the first floor via a beautiful pitched pine staircase. Guests have exclusive use of a ground floor lounge equipped with a log burner, TV, a selection of board games, books and soft seating.
Breakfast is served in our large ground floor dining room with extensive sea views and the neighbouring historic church.
There are several renown golf courses locally. There is an abundance of cycle routes here and canoe trails over on Strangford Lough. We also provide safe and secure storage of sporting equipment including drying facilities for those damp days!
As pet lovers ourselves we welcome pets but not inside the property.
