Taste Autumn in Ards and North Down

Tide and Turf Food Festival, Portavogie

A showcase of local food and drink with a series of seasonal foodie-themed events, with Tide and Turf Portavogie on Saturday 12 September celebrating local delicacies. Programme highlights will also include Stargazing at Ballyhalbert's Burr Point on 11 September, the Taste AND at Bangor Castle and Chilli Festival, both on 26 and 27 September. 

Local providers will be running lots of fabulous foodie activities across the borough as part of this celebration of food and drink, some of which will be bookable. Keep an eye on this page and on our social channels to find out when the Taste Autumn launches.

The programme includes free and ticketed events. Please note, some events are organised by local businesses across the borough and are subject to their associated terms and condisition, limited availability and are subject to change.

Recipe inspiration

Food demonstrations and unique foodie experiences make up the programme and we want to inspire you with some dishes you can try for yourself at home, which have kindly been provided by our local chefs, producers and SERC lecturers, and may feature at some of the events - Taste Autumn Recipes

Sustainability
Ards and North Down Borough Council is committed to reducing our carbon footprint. We encourage visitors to travel via public transport, there are fresh water stations on site bring along refillable water bottles, reusable bags to pick up goodies at the event and please dispose rubbish in the correct bins when on-site.
